Earl Grey Black Tea

Our Earl Grey Black Tea is scented with the oil of bergamot. The most popular flavored tea in the world.

A British diplomat on a mission to China saved a Mandarin's life. He was given the recipe for this flavored tea as a gift of gratitude. The diplomat returned to Britain and presented the tea to Prime Minister Earl Grey (1830-1834), who made the tea fashionable.

We are so glad he did. To this day, it remains the most popular flavored tea in the World!

This variety is a premium Earl Grey black tea, graded higher than our Organic Earl Grey Black Tea. As more of our customers asked for organic options, we considered replacing this version of Earl Grey.

Nice try! Hence, our two options for your Earl Grey pleasure.

Traditionally served hot, but we also serve iced, and it tastes great. This is a perfect tea for serving with pastries and cakes but is just as good on its own.

And remember, life is too short to drink bad tea!

Blended with oil of bergamot (a citrus fruit) in perfect balance for an unbelievable aroma and refreshing taste, which will undoubtedly have you coming back for more.

20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose-leaf tea.

Brewing Instructions for Earl Grey Black Tea

Steep this tea multiple times as loose-leaf teas have far more flavor than traditional tea bags due to their superior quality and freshness. Tea strength is a personal decision, so please experiment to determine your preferences.

Use boiling water and allow your Earl Grey Black Tea to steep as little as 3 minutes or as much as 6 minutes.

Earl Grey Black Tea can be steeped at least three times and, depending on the steep times, as many as five times. For each of the following steeps, use boiling water and double the steep time.

Also, consider blending the first steep with the following steeps to balance the tea; if you do not want to drink all the tea, store it in the fridge for wonderful iced tea.

Store in a dry place.
